Exciting new project for the Trans* community in South Wales!

Last weekend we launched and exciting new initiative for the Trans* community in partnership with Trans*Forum Cymru, Llantrisant Leisure Centre, Swim Wales, Active Valleys and Sport RCT.

FREE Swimming sessions are now available on Sundays at Llantrisant Leisure Centre following a request from Trans*Form Cymru and some of their members.

Location: Llantrisant Leisure Centre, Southgate Park, Llantrisant, CF72 8DJ

Dates: Sunday 31st July through to Sunday 25th September 2016

Times: 5pm to 6pm (this is a closed swim session specifically for the Trans* community and not open to the public)

Facility details: Llantrisant Leisure Centre has a 'Changing Village' for the swimming pool which is gender neutral and has separate cubicles for changing in private. More information about the facility can be found on their website. This is a closed session and does not have a viewing gallery open at this time.

How to get there: From Cardiff, the 122 operated by Stagecoach goes to Talbot Green. From there, the leisure centre is a short walk. Leaves Cardiff at 4.05pm, arrives Talbot Green at 4.45pm.

From Pontypridd, the 100 operated by Edwards Coaches goes to Talbot Green. Leaves Pontypridd at 4.10pm and arrives outside the leisure at about 4.40pm.

Clothing: Participants are welcome to wear rash vests and shorts / other suitable swimwear.

Staffing: Our friends at Active Valleys will be staffing the sessions so look out for Hannah (left), Jess (2nd left) or Aaron (right) - pictured here with our Trans* Ambassador Hannah Winterbourne.
